Application security at runtime
Scanners tell you what is installed. Oligo Security shows what actually runs — and catches attacks against it as they happen. We combine Oligo with our application security, DevSecOps, cloud and managed SOC services, so runtime insight turns into fixes and response.
Most vulnerability backlogs are full of code that never runs
SAST and SCA tools flag every vulnerable dependency in a repository, whether or not the application ever loads it. Teams drown in findings, fix in the wrong order, and still have no view of an attack in progress — the kind that turned Log4Shell into an emergency for almost every organisation.
Runtime context changes the question from "what could be vulnerable?" to "what is loaded, executed and being attacked?".
What SquareVertex brings
- Our AppSec practice: threat modelling, SAST/DAST/SCA, API testing and ASPM
- DevSecOps pipeline security, so runtime findings feed straight into your backlog and CI/CD gates
- Cloud and Kubernetes security for the workloads Oligo protects
- 24/7 detection and response from our Managed SOC
- Supply-chain and SBOM evidence for NIS2, DORA and ISO 27001 audits
What Oligo adds to your application security
Runtime vulnerability management
Separates libraries that are merely installed from those actually loaded and executed, so teams fix what is reachable first. Oligo says this cuts vulnerability backlogs by up to 85%.
Cloud application detection & response
"EDR-like capabilities to the application layer": detects exploitation such as remote code execution and zero-days like Log4Shell, with stack traces, network and file activity in every alert.
Real-time SBOM
An inventory of the open-source libraries running in memory right now — not just what a build manifest says.
Workload protection
Profiles legitimate application behaviour and blocks deviations, following an "observability first, enforcement second" model.
AI runtime security
Runtime visibility and protection for LLM applications and autonomous agents, including private data protection.
Built on eBPF
Monitors behaviour at the kernel level, with what Oligo describes as near-zero performance overhead.

OngoingFrequently asked
How is this different from the SCA scanning we already do?
SCA tells you which vulnerable packages are present. Oligo adds runtime context — which of them are actually loaded and executed — so you fix the reachable ones first, and it detects exploitation attempts while the application runs.
Will it slow our applications down?
Oligo monitors at the kernel level using eBPF, which Oligo describes as near-zero performance overhead. We validate this in your environment before rolling out widely.
Who handles the alerts?
Your own team, or our Managed SOC on a 24/7 basis. Either way, alerts arrive with the execution context needed to respond.
